How To Set Up ProctorBot

ProctorBot PC Setup

ProctorBot PC

  1. Connect your PC's HDMI cable to your monitor.
  2. Download ProctorBot.
  3. Download and install OBS.
  4. Install capture card drivers.
  5. Connect the capture card via USB.
  6. Sign into ProctorBot.exe so it's ready.
Testing PC Setup

Testing Device

  1. Connect your PC's HDMI cable to the capture card.
  2. For MAC laptops: show "Entire Screen" and then shut the laptop.
  3. For Windows laptops: go to Display Settings and for Multiple Displays select Duplicate and shut the laptop.
  4. Connect your mouse, keyboard, microphone, webcam, and speakers/headphones.
  5. View your screen by setting up OBS on your other PC.
  6. *You do not need to install anything on this testing computer*
ProctorBot PC Setup

OBS Setup

  1. On the ProctorBot PC, in OBS under Scenes at the bottom, press the + button then OK.
  2. Under Sources at the bottom, press the + button.
  3. Click "Video Capture Device" the OK.
  4. For Device, select the name of your capture card and press OK.
  5. If your device doesn't show up, go to your systems Privacy Settings then Camera and "Allow apps to access your camera".
  6. Click your screen so that it is highlighted in red around the border.
  7. Recommended: Right click and press "Fullscreen Projector *Source*", then click your monitor's name.
  8. Now get familiar with the keyboard+mouse that controls your testing device, and the extra mouse that you will use for ProctorBot.
